Maharashtra and Gujarat are the two states where Corona has received the most care. Maharashtra is currently fighting with 10,498 positive cases and 460 deaths while Maharashtra is fighting against corona with more than 4300 cases and 214 deaths. Maharashtra saw more cases from the beginning with Kerala but Gujarat where there were very few cases in March.
In the number of positive cases that were not even in the top ten, April came as a dangerous month for Gujarat. By the middle of the month, Gujarat was ranked fifth in the country and second after Maharashtra on the twentieth day. With 313 cases and 17 deaths in the state on the last day of April, the total number of positive cases reached 4395 and the death toll reached 214. This shows that out of 34,901 cases in the country, 13% of cases have been reported from Gujarat alone. On April 21, the total number of positive cases in Gujarat was around 2,100. The cases doubled in just eight days. On April 1, there were only 87 positive cases in Gujarat which increased to 4,395 on the last day of the month. Thus, the number of positive cases in Gujarat increased 50 times in a single month.
The death toll from the corona paints a similar picture. The death toll was only 6 on April 1, which is 214 today, which means the death toll has risen 36 times in April alone. Out of 1154 deaths in the country, 19% of deaths have occurred in Gujarat.
This shows that Corona has taken over Gujarat at a dangerous pace. In Gujarat too, in Ahmedabad, Corona has caused the most noise. With 3026 positive cases and 149 deaths, 69% of cases and deaths have been reported in Ahmedabad alone which is a wake-up call for the city. Although the case doubling rate is still slow in Ahmedabad, it is likely to increase rapidly.
