Indian Navy has got more strength. The indigenous INS Mormugao, capable of destroying enemies armed with missile-rocket launchers, has been inducted into the Indian Navy, echoing the Make in India motto.
INS Mormugao has been dedicated to the Indian Navy in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R Harikumar, Indian Navy officers, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Mormugao is not just a name but synonymous with the country’s valor and adventure.Mormugao is one such city in Goa, introducing history and adventure.
The name Mormugao given to the INS warship to be dedicated to the Indian Navy holds special significance.
During the Portuguese rule in Goa, the Marathas defeated the Portuguese at Mormugao port and liberated Mormugao port.
Importantly, the Mormugao warship has been prepared to increase sea power especially against China. In the coming days, two more warships like Mormugao will also be built for the Navy by 2025.
