Cyclone Mocha originating from the Bay of Bengal has hit the coastal region of Bangladesh. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted that the Mocha storm will take a dangerous form in the next two days.
Cyclone Mocha formed in the Bay of Bengal is advancing and has reached the coastal areas of Bangladesh. Cyclone Mocha is also lashing Myanmar with heavy rains and wind gusts of 195 kmph.
The meteorological department has predicted that the intensity of this wind will increase to a speed of 250 km per hour. Cyclone Mocha has also affected West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh in India.
In the wake of the storm, an alert was declared by the administration in these three states and all preparations were made by the administration to deal with the possible calamity.
On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department of Bangladesh, the Mocha cyclone is the most dangerous among the cyclones that have occurred in the last 2 decades and the possibility of creating huge devastation is also being expressed following the cyclone in Bangladesh. At present, the airports in Bangladesh have been closed. Fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea.
Cyclone Mocha developed into a severe cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal on Saturday night. The storm is threatening to cause food shortages in the world’s largest Rohingya refugee camp.
